How to fix railing issue // Archicad 26

Hello! I am using the railing tool to make some rails on a platform that I created using the Slab tool. However, I don't understand why the railing pictured keeps slanting downwards. All the other railings got placed correctly as you can see in the image, but I cannot manage to get that segment to be placed straight. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I can't tell what went wrong (maybe it picked up the node of a lower slab). To correct this: view the Railing in Section or Elevation, select it, the Reference Line will appear (probably at the bottom of the Railing), select the lower reference node, select the Move option in the Pet Palette (upper left) and move it vertically to match the other reference nodes.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

It worked for me, too. As David said, you might try to move the node manually. Here is an of older thread dealing with the same issue:

If you are placing the railing in plan and it is in associated mode, you can watch what element highlights as you place the points.

It is that element that it will associate to.

When elements overlap, you can use the TAB key to cycle through them.

Placing the railing in the 3D window gives you a little better choice of what points you want to associate to.

And as others have said, if it goes wrong, you can adjust the reference line position easily in 3D.
