The railing tool (same with stair and curtain wall tools) is what controls the amalgamation of the component objects.

Basically it is like an add-on but is hard coded into the program as a tool.

There is nothing we can do to change how it works but you can create/amend the GDL objects used for the components.

Previously I created a Thread to figure out why the inner posts of my railing weren't showing up in 3D. After trying all of the responses without any solutions I closed the thread. Since then I have been doing some thinking about the issue and thought maybe the issue could be the script that creates the railing. To that end I opened AC and then went to open the railing object. To my surprise I found scripts for all of the components (post, rail, etc.) but I couldn't find a script that puts all of the components together. Since all objects are based on GDL scripts my assumption was that there would be a script that calls the other scripts for the components to create a single object where components can be edited using the specification page. I looked but couldn't find such a script. Is there such a script and if so where would I find and open it? This thread could be in the wrong forum but I didn't find a "development" forum. If it is in the wrong forum could a "moderator" move it to the correct forum. Thanks. Appreciation for any help.
