Sorry I'm not much help about mep and start.
Did get my first 3 hrs of instruction with Revit Architecture the other day, and it does, at least initially, seem rather primitive. Good luck there!
Off subject completely.
How was the fall leaf color display in Chattanooga area this year?
I would assume the peak is done for this year?
Check with your reseller.

As you are in surveying - check the Vico software called Survey for ArchiCAD. It works with 11, and can coordinate the Total Station survey points with the model - great help!

In fact, your company would be best off with the Constructor, or full ArchiCAD plus MEP.

Can the MEP modeler be added to the 2009 Start editions of AC?

Start edition is intended for one-man home offices where teamwork/collaboration capabilities are not required.
Besides MEP Modeler’s aim is collaboration support between disciplines typically on larger projects and that is why these two do not work together.
