Encima Objective looks like it is only objects as well.

Is there an easy way to rotate say, a slab from flat to vertical? Or do you need to use a roof for any kind of sloped surface? The other day I drew a circle. Filled it with a slab and then tried to rotate it from horizontal to vertical. I wanted the curve in order to do an SEO.

If I had used a roof instead of a slab would that have given me the ability to rotate it 90 degrees?

I believe roofs will only rotate up to 89 degrees. You could, however, have made the "circle" slab into an Object to rotate it.

This is an ongoing Archicad deficiency.

The poster correctly wants a rotation control for Archicad primitives.

It is not there.

However, various torturous workarounds exist:

For a circular disk, tilted, consider the Cylinder 11 object that has such a parameter.

For irregular elements, the makeaslabaGDLobject/ArchiRotate method is best.

And the easy way to make a circular wall is to use the complex profile aspect, drawing the wall perpendicular to its linear axis. Weak, I know.

Of course, it definitely helps to know what Seraphin is trying to accomplish (i.e. does he/she need a circular wall, or an SEO operator?).

I see that OBJECTiVE has already been recommended to you. To clarify, it will allow you to rotate and split any GDL object in 3D and place hotspots on the 3D body for easy snapping.

It won't currently rotate <S></S>any<E></E> geometry, e.g. walls, because ArchiCAD doesn't support that kind of transformation. Slabs and roofs, however, can quickly be transformed into 3D objects with OBJECTiVE's profiling tools, which can be rotated, split, and bent in 3D (see attached image)
