&lt;P&gt;There is kind of a workaround:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Set the use of your slab composite available for roofs or leave it simple if you only need concrete.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Create a roof with no slope (or the slope you need).&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Add the skylight.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Classify that roof as a slab.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Clange plan and section settings so cover fits your needs.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Always be conscious about that type change for documentation, etc.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;

      <title>Skylight Tool</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Is it possible to add skylight to a concrete slab for example on basements to bring in natural light?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;if so how do one do so, i only found that skylights can only be used on roofs and not on slabs am i wrong please assist&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="courier new,courier" color="grey"&gt;Operating system used: &lt;EM&gt;Windows &lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You can just cut a hole in the slab and place a skylight with the object tool rather than the skylight tool.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It won't be associated to the slab of course.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Or use the flat roof as Ricardo suggests.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
