Goodies Archicad 28 - Accessories Library Package Error

**Accessories Library Issue**

Graphisoft's Accessories library packages are not being recognized in Archicad 28 (refer to screenshot AC28_LibraryManager_Accessories), resulting in a prompt indicating that the requested accessories are not available in the loaded libraries when attempting to access ceiling, wall, or floor accessories, (refer to screenshot AC28_Accessories_NotWorking).

Could someone please clarify what I am missing?

Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon Sequoia 15.1

You have loaded the 'Accessories' folder.

It doesn't work that way now.

You have to browse for the actual '.libpack' file and load that.

I loaded the '.libpack' but I am still missing the Additional Package Files within the Archicad Library.Libpack

any ideas why and how to solve this?

The additional package files are a part of every library pack.

You don't need to worry about those.

That is the magic part for language and template mapping - no objects in there.

In you first image you have no warnings.

In the second image you have 2 warnings but I don't know what they are.

Expand the list to see what it says.

Some of the new library packs have dependencies on other library pack.

You have to load those as well.

In your case the accessories need the essential library pack.

You have loaded a folder called Archicad Library 28.

This is actually the old 27 library.

No need to load that unless you file was from 27.

Likewise you don't need the migration libraries unless you file originated from a version before 27.

In a new 28 file, you now need to load the library packs.

Do not load the Library Pack folder - it doesn't work that way for them.

You must go into that folder and load each library pack that you want.

It works, thank you! But this is awful .... how many items I have to load within EACH Archicad projec library... Not only to look for for a mysterious Libpack file (but not library), but also as you say: archicad library 28 is not even library 28 but 27... 27 is not in migration libraries where everything else is, migration libraries don't work same in different languages so I have to have 2 if I work with people on same file (especially their damn doors/windows are constant challenge).... and then - so where is the actual library 28, is there any? 😁

The 28 libraries are the library packs - referred to as Global Libraries.

You load only the library packs that you want individually, do not try to load the folder the packs belong to - that won't work.

The 28 library packs will detect the language version of your template (file), so we all use the same library packs now, rather than a separate library for each language.

If you open on old file (27 or before) in 28, do not load the library packs.

Just load the 27 library (in the Archicad 28 Library folder!!!) and the older migration libraries if you need them.

Then carry on working as normal.

So effectively you are working on a 27 file with the old libraries, it is just that you have opened it up in 28.

Do not expect the 27 objects to migrate (update) to 28, because they will not.

If you want to use the 28 objects, start with a brand new file based on a template created specifically for 28.

This should contain only the 28 library packs and none of the older libraries.

The essentials library has nothing to do with the accessories library and add-on.

Are you trying to install that accessories add-on that is found in the 'Goodies' download?
