not sure how to stretch beam from highlighted node (blue) to match t/truss ends? each time i stretch the bottom truss chord to t/truss it automatically "fillets" both top & bottom truss member and extends? not using the "truss maker" feature...

The trick is to not have the reference lines touch or line up.

Offset the beam reference lines so they do not touch.

https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Graphisoft-Technology-Preview/The-case-of-three-beams/m-p/620665/highlight/true#M688

Or you can place them in separate layers with different layer intersection group numbers so they don't trim each other.

ok burning the midnight oil or is it now the morning sun! sheez this is a pain in the you know what. i still can't get it to work with "layer intersection group"? i can only assume i now have to also change the darn material hierarchy. worthless...BUT thanks for trying to help me out Barry truly appreciate it, disregard my sarcasm 😁

The easiest way is to just offset the reference line of one beam by a tiny fraction and then reposition the beam so they still line up.

You can set the reference line on the edge as well if you are happy to do that.

If you need to dimension to the centre of the beam, just make sure you dimension the beam whose reference line did not move.
