Wall Priority settings(at the "layers" level vs. "wall lvl")

heres the diss.

I just found out today that on the "layer list", there was a setting for 'wall priority' (those little numbers on the layers do mean something).

What's the point then for setting Wall Priority levels at the individual wall composite type or stock wall type vs. setting them at the layer setting level?

Why one over the other one? When to use one over the other one?

I mean...if walls intersection whether on or off are controlled by the layer wall priority setting, then why even have priorities for individual wall settings "inside" the walls settings themselves?

If you do a search here for "composite priorities" you will find some good threads on how they work. Comp priorities effect how individual skins of composites relate and merge to each other, whereas wall priorities in the layer dialogue determine how an entire wall intersects (or not) with another, which may be turned on or turned off.
