How can I design this roof ?

I am a new user of ArchiCAD 9 and I want to design a roof similar to the one that appears as a logo everytime I start ArchiCAD.
I have tried the roof tool but I find it difficult to join the edges, especially when I try to connect single roofs that are not on the same height.
I would be greatfull for any help, thanks...!

To make a roof like that, you need the "Wacky Techno Tower" Add-On. Only the Germans have that now.

I am reffering to as "roof" to the part of the building marked up with the red rectangular, consisted of square parts with gaps within them.
It could actually be a facade of a building but imagine looking from a
"bird's eye view" can look like a roof.

Creating holes is easy. Joining different parts together while not being on the same height and rotating them in order one to touch another is quite complicated.
Anyway I 'll try a different way of making sth like this using the wall tool.

Basic Technique:

1. Select roof (plan or 3D)

2. Command/Control click edge of other roof to join to selected roof.

3. Repeat as necessary for that lustrous shine.

But that will alter both roofs. (rooves?)

I interpret this "meeting," based in what Comet Boy posted as his objective, to refer to dragging tilted elements in space most easily done visually by dragging horizontally and vertically in 3D.

So now he has both answers.
