complex profile connection

Hi!

trying to connect 3 types of composite walls together in a particular way but i cant achieve it.

I would like the outside brick layer to run through and connect one to the other, which would imply the concrete to stop before (marked with an "x").

Is that possible, if so, whats the best practice?

Check what happens when you make the building material of the 'air' space a higher value then the other materials

I will try that, even though i heard messing with the intersection priority value trying to solve cirurgical things might have some backlash on the bigegr picture of the project settings.

What i would actually want to achieve is this (see picture), where the air cavity and also the insulation connect, which means a higher priority of "air+insulation" than concrete, right? But wont that mess with overall performance of intersections?

In my experience, the air space should never be breached, as you are providing a path for moisture to migrate from outside to inside.

So I would make the air space the strongest material, then the insulation, then the concrete and weakest the brick.

Internal brick and internal plaster weaker still.

But you could try making the insulation the strongest, then air space, concrete and brick, internal brick, internal plaster.

Is the exterior brickwork set as a Core or Finish?

I did "air cavity + insulation" much stronger than the concrete. What i am getting is this:

Forget it, i had pushed the wrong insulation value, now it is working as i want.

There are quite a few threads around with me just troubleshooting and resolving problems on my own, though most of them have got to do with GDL.

The problem is that now i get situations like this, where i would like to connect concrete (in this case "wall to slab") but i get these gaps that i dont want. How would i work around this?

It is hard to find the right 'balance' between all materials.

You can make a copy of the concrete building material with a higher priority value for the slabs...
