Strange element's grip behavior

I was working on a project and all of a sudden I noticed that element's grips were misplaced.

The only working solution I found was to import the file as a module to a new clean file, but in that way I lost all may "View Maps", "Layouts"...etc

I wonder what could cause this strange behavior.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

This usually means that your model is far away from the zero point.

Cuba thank you for the quick reply!

I thought that my model was really near the project origin but after your reply I checked again putting a Coordination marker on the project origin symbol.

The result can be seen to the attached screenshot!

Really strange! I cannot understand what I see!

The co-ordinate marker could be showing position related to the survey point.

Just reset your user origin so it is back at the project origin and then zoom out until you can see the project origin and your model in the 3D window.

If they are far apart, you will see that straight away.

I believe you imported the drawings from the site too far from the model (they are in the new state of the renovation filter).

This expands the environment excessively and results in incorrect geometry.

You can always import 2d site information on a worksheet.

It’s best to remove any site data that is too far away and save the file.

Then, start a new file and merge the two files via File > Interoperability > Merge.

(just removing the data did not work)

There is definitely something wrong.

The project origin appears to be where your coordinate marker is.

And that is set to show the coordinates of the user origin, but shows very large numbers.

If I move the model to where the coordinate object shows as 0,0 (very far away (drag using negative of the numbers), then look at the model in 3D, it all selects fine.

I have no idea why this is.

You might have to send the file to your local support to figure it out.

Or maybe you could copy & paste the model into an new file, close to the project origin.

Yes Cuba, you are right!

I deleted the very far away site data, saved and reopened... and everything is fine again!
