Offset for lines and single walls

We can't offset lines, single walls, or two points polylines. Come on! I understand that you can get around this with a perpendicular copy, but the offset command would be much more precise and quick. For example, let's say I need to offset a line that's at a 42° angle. With the copy command, I risk snapping to 45° instead of perpendicular, without even realizing it.

It makes no difference if it is a single line or wall or a polyline.

Activate the tool, magic wand what you want to offset and then drag the line/wall to where you want.

If you agree with this, then I will close the wish.

If not, what are you trying to do?

I didn't know about this. I'm trying now but I don't understand how to make it work, but if you think this is the solution you can close the wish.

Choose the tool you want to draw - line, polyline , wall, etc.

Activate the offset tool.

And then magic wand (spacebar) on what you want to offset.

Choose the position and click to place.

Ah ok. I wasn't selecting the proper tool before doing that.
