      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I don't think this is possible. I have tried it myself and looked on-line and couldn't find an answer (only for walls you can change the reference line).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have also tried to model two stairs (one just the structure and the other just the finish) with the same reference line but they don't overlap correctly.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The stair dimensions / construction is controlled by the surface dimensions of the treads (goings) and risers, and that blue reference line is representing those settings.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It is not like a wall where you can adjust the position of the reference lines.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Although it appears that the stair has a core (structure) and finish (treads and risers), that is not the case.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It is all one core if you like.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The reference line is always the top surface whether you have treads and risers or not as it is that top surface that controls the calculations for the stair.&lt;/P&gt;
