Hello, how to set reference line to be at the core?

Hi,

I don't think this is possible. I have tried it myself and looked on-line and couldn't find an answer (only for walls you can change the reference line).

I have also tried to model two stairs (one just the structure and the other just the finish) with the same reference line but they don't overlap correctly.

The stair dimensions / construction is controlled by the surface dimensions of the treads (goings) and risers, and that blue reference line is representing those settings.

It is not like a wall where you can adjust the position of the reference lines.

Although it appears that the stair has a core (structure) and finish (treads and risers), that is not the case.

It is all one core if you like.

The reference line is always the top surface whether you have treads and risers or not as it is that top surface that controls the calculations for the stair.
