      <title>Roof Pivot lines</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Posted this somewhere else in the wrong place, so this is a duplicate posting.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Roof Pivot lines could be very useful as a way to set the bearing point of a roof. I usually set mine to the inside of the wall framing as this is where the bottom of my joist would sit.&amp;nbsp; The problem is the pivot line for a composite roof that includes drywall will put the pivot line on the outer surface which is the drywall.&amp;nbsp; There should be a way to designate the pivot line to be on the core, not a finish or other&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="courier new,courier" color="grey"&gt;Operating system used: &lt;EM&gt;Windows 11 pro&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;You should make a wish in the wishes forum (check to see if there is one there already).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;However the drywall lining should stop at the internal wall frame, and would not extend the extent of the roof eave externally.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;So I would model that lining separately which avoids the problem.&lt;/P&gt;
