<T>Hi, I am new here. nice to meet you guys.
I have found 2 major "disasters" in my AC8.1:
1. when I use marquee tool to cut my model, I found the U-stair landing is always missing. but without the marquee, it is fine. Help?

2. remember in AC7, dashed lines can be pulled out of section line, which is to define the distance - to what extend things can be shown in the section. however, in AC8, I just cannot have the dashed lines pulled out even though with a click in limited button in the horizontal range in the property window. what can i do?

are they bug? did u guys find the same?</T>

The marquee tool bug is well known. I'm pretty sure it's fixed in AC9.

I've had no problems with the section depth. Do you have them turned on in the display options?

AC9 and 8.1 are more powerful (an more complex) withh respect to Display options. See. 2 below

1. not sure what to suggest. If there are cutplanes declared in the script of the object, it appears that these are affected in 9. See discussion about 3D people with no abdomens when marquee is on.

2. Check your <S></S>Display Preferences <E></E> under the <S></S>Display Only <E></E>options to make sure that Section Depth is turned on to "Show". There is also an override setting for this item in the <S></S>Options for Display and Output <E></E>section. Check which value is set in your model, OR, in the Display Option combination you have selected. Display options can be set differently depnding on what you want to see in a particular view.
