Hello,

I’m trying to locate the official download source for the Archiglazing add-on, which was previously listed on Graphisoft’s add-ons page (link). However, the page no longer seems to host it.

Could anyone clarify:

Is Archiglazing still available for newer versions of Archicad 28?
If it’s discontinued, are there recommended alternatives for ceiling/roof glazing modeling?

That page says to purchase, contact your local Archicad reseller.

There is a link at the bottom of that page that will help you find them.

Have you tried the curtain wall tool - you don't need to purchase that.

Thank you for your response. I am considering too the curtain wall too, but i only find youtube turorials about the glazing tool, I have to draw something like this

I do not know which tool will be better for the job.

Hi @Barry Kelly,

I have contacted the my distributor and they responsed regarding Archiglaze’s discontinuation.
Now Archiglaze does not exist as a commercial product anymore.
I’ve done some further research and wanted to confirm a few details with you:

International Version of Archiglaze:
I found a post in the Graphisoft Community indicating that ArchiGlazing for Archicad 28 (via a German distributor, linked here).

Is this version compatible with the Spanish/International license of Archicad?

I’d appreciate any guidance to ensure compatibility may not work with my setup.

I could not say if it will work for you or not.

I am guessing because there is a GER and AUT version, either one you download will be in that language if you can install them.

It is interesting that there is a 28 GER & AUT version, but seemingly no INT version.

I tried changing the URL to 'INT', but as it is the German Graphisoft website it does not seem to have the INT version.

That might be a question for your re-seller, why there is a GER & AUT version but no INT?

I guess you may have already tried using skylight objects to see if that will model that glass roof above ?

Or as @Barry Kelly suggested you could try using the curtain wall tool to achieve your goal ?

Here is a quick coffee tip from another Archimaster who is designing a sloped curtain wall that may be able to help create a roof like yours above.

I haven’t needed the assistance of the ArchiGlazing add on but it may come to be useful in doing what you need.

Thanks for the info, first of all

I try with the skylight object at first but because it was connected with the curtain wall from the outside of the building I keep using the curtain wall tool.

This is how is looking right now:

The only thing are the connections between surfaces are not the smoothest in the world

Sure ! With professional software like Archicad we want to have a high level of detail and we all understand that. I would try and build those glass atriums with a metal roof framing profile and put glass between the metal profiles. A ridge beam metal profile as well as intermediate beams. It is a bit of extra work but well worth it on a big building like yours. I don’t do multi story buildings like yours but I have done pitched pergolas and raked ceilings with individual framing members. All in days work.

I was busy with another part of the building but i have time this week to work on the glass ceiling, here you can see some of the pictures.

I have tried with the the roof framing but i ended with the curtain wall tool in the end.

I will work on the small details from the glass ceiling but it's looking good.

I was in the similar situation, looking for Archicad 28 ArchiGlazing addon. The one for GER/AUT will not work on INT (I tried). You'll need the INT version. It's clearly stated that this addon is no longer supported, so I'm not sure why GS decides to hide this one so well even for subscription clients. If you look hard enough (hint: don't look for the addon on AC28, but look for older ones. Also avoid suspicious websites - if it's too good to be true, stay away), you'll eventually find it for 28. I don't think it's ok for me to share it here though, so good luck googling 🙂
