Modifiers on different complex profiles don't know each other even when named the same (even when the complex profile was created as a duplicate of some other one). Each complex-profile-specific modifier associates specific edges and hotspots of specific fills in each complex profile, and you can modify that function independently of its name. The name is a description only, which you may want to repeat across different complex profiles for interface sistematization, let's say, so that must be the purpose of that popup list. So a little time-consuming it may be.

Just wondering if there is a way to re-name profile offset modifiers after they have been created?

In Complex Profile editor go to the Modifiers rollout and double click on the required modifiers name it will go in rename mode. hope this will solve your problem.

Thanks!

That works great for a profile modifier in a single complex profile, but is there a way to change the name that appears in the list of modifiers used in other profiles?

When I change the name in an individual complex profile, it doesn't update in this list unless I change the profile modifier name in every profile that uses that modifier. That could be very time-consuming depending on the number of profiles that use that modifier.
