Archicad takes too long to open

Hi.

We’ve encountered an issue where Archicad takes an unusually long time to open—whether it's a new or existing project, heavy or light. The startup time ranges between 10 to 20 minutes. So far, this problem seems to be isolated to one laptop in the office; all other machines are performing normally.

Could this be a hardware-related issue with the laptop?

We’d appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you.

Operating system used: Mac Intel-based 15.5 Seqouia

Is it just getting to the start-up screen that is slow, or are you double clicking the file to open it?

Either way, try clearing the recent documents list, as this does make a difference, especially when going thorough the start screen.

Have you checked what system resources are being used and are available when you open a file? Makes me think of a lack of RAM and that your computer is running off Virtual Disk space...
