Hi!

Wouldn't it be more resource-efficient to just make a "plain" model and apply a alpha-channel texture with the tiny wiring on top of the base model? (i.e. something akin to the fence chain link texture in the basic library)

I assume making it out of railing would generate a very complex geometry and maybe it will unnecessarily take up space in your model.

Based on your experience, can I use ArchiCAD's Railing tool to create an almost identical fence, including its slope?

Create a custom balustrade to get the kinks and then add rails where required.

But as CosminF suggests, you may take a big hit in machine resources with all of the polygons it will generate.
