Surfaces in BimX Viewer not matching Archicad

We use BimX models to help collaborate with our clients. We are realizing that the BimX materials are not looking the same as they do in the Archicad and it's caused some confusion. What I'm gathering is that the BIMx model is not showing any tweaks we make to the "exposure of light" of a surface. I've tweaked the basic engine, hardware engine, and cineware engine to look like what I want the material to look like, but BimX just doesn't seem to pick up any of these.

Is there anyway to get these two programs to work better or is there another way I should be creating surfaces to get more accurate renderings in Archicad and BimX?

I've attached a simple view with two materials. The archicad view has the darking siding, which we created by tweaking the "exposure of light" settings of a surface. The BimX view shows how all the model seems to ignore these tweaks.

Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon 14.2.1 Sonoma

No wonder it looks "wrong" – but it does so already in Archicad. So in BIMx it rather looks like its supposed to be.

In general all surfaces will already look a bit darker than what they are in Archicad. Setting the surface "ambient" and "diffuse" to zero is definitely not a good idea.

For me those number are all around 80.

So yeah, you have to revise your AC surfaces; BIMx looks fine.
