Hi everyone,

As a Revit user I’m trying to see if there are some commands that could be similar.

In Revit I could copy and then paste and object in the same place but on a different story. This was very useful with slabs, stairs and also furniture in buildings with a lot a floors. I was wondering if there was something similar in ArchiCAD

Thanks a lot, you’re all helping me very much, I’m really very grateful

Just copy an element in one story -STRG + C
Switch to the next story.
Paste it with STRG + V

If Your display was displaced in the meantime, you get a dialoge which askes you, if it should be pasted in the original position or in the middle of the current sight..
Unfortunately you will need to move to each storey and then paste.
You only need to copy the once though and then just keep pasting.
Although if all of your storeys are exactly the same height, you could try the 'Multiply' command in the pet palette.
Set it to 'elevate' and choose your increment/spread settings and tick the box to 'Set home storey by elevation'.

Personally I think it is just easier to move to the storey you want then paste.
The "Edit Elements by Stories" Dialog does close to what you want.
In ARCHICAD 23 is is located in the "Design" menu.

The only limitation is that it will copy-paste all elements of a selected element type. On the other hand, it can paste to many Stories in a single step.
So you will have to see which method gives you better of faster results.

or - you could view the protion of of the tower/model where you want to place the objects using the marquee tool. That way you can copy and paste the objects relative to some convinient, visible, and common place of reverence. Like the same corner of a room on each floor, or exaclty virtical from the top of one for to the next, that sort of thing.
