Do you mean 'Display Order' (i.e. bring forward / send back)?

If not, try that.

Hello

I have a joist object (written a long time ago (v19) and when in the same model space as a composite floor, the object fill doesnt show. However, the strange thing is that the object fill shows correctly in other sections. i have checked, layer order, done a solid operation, changed intersection priority but am stumped. Can anyone help please?

Operating system used: Windows 11

Hi Barry

Thanks for your reply. I think I meant the display order in the layer settings. I have tried 'bringing to front' but does not seem to work. Does it have anything to do with the object? Which was created in v15/19?

I am assuming the object is a 3D joist an not just a 2D overlay?

What version of Archicad are you using and is it the latest build?

I have tried testing in 28 with a 3D joist object and an 2D overlay object, but I can not replicate the issue.

It could be the object but it is quite hard to say without your actual object and floor composite.

Hi Barry,

Attached is a .pla file. Hopefully youll be able to see in section A that the the joist is shown correctly (i.e. with the dark fill). Yet in section B, the darker fill is not visible.

Thanks for looking into this.

Thanks for the PLA.

I know what is causing the problem (I think), but not why.

When I copy one slab and joists, I see the same problem.

The void in the slab seems to be causing the issue, I don't know why.

Cut a section looking away from the void and it is good.

Delete the void and it is good.

Obviously these are not solutions though.

But I found if you turn on transparency in the section settings, it look better.

But of course transparent materials will be see through, which may or may not be an issue.

Hi Barry,

It is bizarre that the hole in the slab is causing the issue but I can live with the transparency for this little project.

I appreciate you looking into this for me!

Dwayne.
