Sorry, I've only been playing this app for a few months, so I don't quite understand how to get to the stage you've screenshotted I apologize for asking you so many questions, but if you could explain it to me, I would appreciate it.. How do you add nodes there? I was very confused when I tried it. Is that from here (in my screenshot) to add that node?

When I wanted to add railings to the stairs, they didn't reach the top (which is what I wanted), but the top and bottom were flush with the floor so they didn't stick out. It's like what I screenshotted. Please help me figure out how to fix this. Thank you, kind people.

Operating system used: Windows 28.3.0

Try placing with the magic wand.

Or I think you can click on the start and end points of the stair boundary reference line.

But magic wand should be best.

If you need associative railing that goes oly in some part of the stair you have two options:

1. You can edit the nodes in edit mode so that they are offset:

2. You can create nodes on stair boundary to which you can associate the railing.

It is probably easier to do this in plan.

Stairs have one 'Baseline' which is the path of the stair - you don't want this.

And they have two "Boundaries" which is the extents of the stair - you do want this.

Hover the mouse over the edge of the stair.

If the info box say"Boundary" click to select the stair.

If not then press TAB key until it does say "Boundary" and then select it.

Now click on that boundary line to bring up the pet palette.

Add the node where you want it - you can move it later if you want.

Now when placing your 'associative' railing, click on the bottom node of that edge and then the node you just created.

Barry.
