Select multiple treads / risers not working

When I select a Stair and go into Edit, then select one tread and wait for the pop-up to show the 3 buttons (select all down/all/all up) I click on one of them but nothing happens. Is this a bug or have I gone crazy?

I just did it and didn't have any problems. What version of Archicad are you using? Does this happen in all files or just in a specific one?

If it is not working for you, you should try these two things:

1. Make sure you have the latest Archicad Update/Hotfix.

2. Make sure you have the latest graphics card driver. It may be some graphic glitch,

It used to work fine (although it has been a while since I last needed it, so not sure when it broke).

It happens with any project, any stair. Even if do a 'New & Reset All'.

I was on Archicad 28.3.0 (6003) INT on my MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.5.

I have now installed 28.3.1 (6100) INT from Nov 4th (3 days ago) and the issue persists.

It works fine in Archicad 29, which I am not using yet.

Does it work for selection of curtain wall frames?

Hi Barry, yes, curtain wall frames/mullions can be selected with the tool.

I now note that, with stairs, I can't even select a single tread/riser in 3D. In plan view, I can select them, but only manually (holding SHIFT), not by the 3-button pop-up.

There are two other things you cloud try to see if they make any difference. This could help better pinpoint the source of the error:

1. Try to use the Vectorial Engine in 3D, see if that makes any difference.

2. Turn off the "3D Antialiasing" checkbox in the "Advanced Redraw Options" page of the Work Environment Dialog.

Thanks for the suggestions, Laszlo. Vectorial Engine and turning off 3D Antialiasing didn't make any difference.

I am not sure I can try with a different graphics card driver on my MacBook Pro.

I am coming back to this one now that I am using Archicad 29. The selection of multiple treads/risers via the piano-like pop-up is not working again. I am thinking it has to do with how I load my libraries, because when I do a New & Reset All it works.

I noticed that in the Stair's settings dialog I can choose between 'Built-In Stair Grid' and just 'Stair Grid' but, if I do a New & Reset All I only get one stair grid, not multiple ones. Regardless of which one I choose the issue with selecting multiples persists. But I am noticing the two grids. Might that be related? Might it have to do with how I load my libraries?

FWIW I can select multiples, by holding SHIFT and clicking one each one.
