A workaround to force proper reveal materials that we use is to have a column with a high intersection priority on a hidden SEO layer with the size of the outer opening. It will cut the wall and show the proper reveal materials.

We don't use it for just this purpose, we often need slightly oversized reveal on the outside beyond the reveal depth (for example the width of masonry).

I tried solid Elements but that does not work to hide the lining below the plinth stone.. If I want to build the framing with columns then I need to turn off the lining. but I cant turn the lining off. Object is double door 27.

Operating system used: Windows latest one

Hi,

Try disabling that door element and modeling it separately with the Morph tool.

The door opening reveal can only be one material, usually based on where the door anchor point is.

Maybe this post will help.

https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Modeling/How-to-put-two-different-finishes-from-the-complex-profile-wall/m-p/668209

There is some code from another user, but I have attached an opening object that should allow you to have split materials.
