Ive run into an issue lately that is constant.

I have a PLN file with a Hotlinked Model. The entire model is hotlinked into the new PLN with multiple instances of the same plan but different design options ticked for each hotlinked item.

I am them piecing the plan together in parts with viewports to create separate PDF images of the different parts of the plans to piece together later for a web developer.

The issue i am currently having is to to do with the view ports. When i got to the layout book and try to alter the cropped region to fit the layout, it crashes, sometimes with dragging the edge of the cropped area, sometimes when trying to update the viewport, sometimes when just moving the viewport.

I have seen some solutions to try breaking the hotlinks, but as using it as a template for multiple models and updating accordingly i dont have the option to break these links as if the model is updated then the web out im trying to create will also need updating.

Any suggestions or help appreciated as at the moment the only way i can work with this type of file is to hope i get a viewport to stick and update, then save, then move to the next one. Seems when i reopen the file each time i can work on the previous layout, but moving onto another creates a crash.

Thanks

Dan

Operating system used: Windows 28.3.2 (6200)

Still having issues, even just dragging a viewport by distance seems to crash the program.. have another team member testing the file using 29 and it did not crash for them. So still narrowing it down to see if its a 28 issue or a system issue.....
