Was this texture thing always there?????

This is happening only with the extruded detailed shell. With the Ruled extruded it behaves normally!!

Operating system used: Windows 11 23/H2

Looking at the top edges, you will notice that they align with the sides. Typical box mapping... texture mapping style when?

What does trying to orient it with the Align Texture setting do?

Align Texture not working with Shells.

Even in surface texture settings there is no option to fix the problem.

The fact that it works correctly for extruded shells makes me think that is something that the devs missed.
