Hi @RocKe3eR

Perhaps you could flip it changing the reference line option.

Anyway, stairs and railing are quite complex tools to learn, so I recommend you take the available courses from Graphisoft Learn: Stairs and Railings in Archicad

I also found that manually aligning railings gives much better results, most of the time (as opposed to associating the railing to the element, i.e. the stairs, directly).

If you look at your section, you will see that the railing extends past the treads from the landing, compared to your model where the landing starts on the line of the treads. I generally place a stair node at the end of each run so that I can define the landing seperately, partially for this reason.

I also found that manually aligning railings gives much better results, most of the time (as opposed to associating the railing to the element, i.e. the stairs, directly).

Half the time you try to manually adjust a node because the association has decided to change which part of the stair it should associate to, and it will not let you use the tread as a height reference without raising association with the stair...

^^This!

And that: You need some extra points, half the width 'further right'. Railings don't do 'banking'...

What you paid for:

What you need:

What you do:

As one can see, the tool isn't capable to solve this with further help.

Might be possible to solve the self-intersection though...

I don't have time to experiment at the moment, but have you tried the different connection settings?

Gooseneck or Direct.

And you may need to adjust the the lengths and radius of the transitions.
