3d line string

I am over complicating this buy still asking. I want to make an array where that is a 3d line string.

This will have one object that is placed evenly by a defined variable set at the time of placement.

Then placed at the beginning and end of this line string.

I.e. for bollard placement

or markers on a row

or in my case a bracket at begging - end and every 3' (centered )

advice is welcome

Operating system used: Windows 11

Sorry for mu fumbling fingers "From Beginning to end

I used this to create several line strings in another 3d cad package for construction. One was to place jersey barriers along roadways, and is repeated curves and zig zags for that and roadway stripes, etc.

hmmm... a few options come to mind, if I'm understanding correctly:
-morph lines with segments to snap to

-railing with custom posts

-multiply command with path chosen during placement

...

maybe none of these are quite as dynamically updated/managed as you are looking for, but thats kind of the best option.

...

technically, if you model one instance, you could use and
ADD

NExt N

to the script so you could stretch it to fit... but not sure if you want to get into the weeds scripting a custom object for it, when a railing or curtain wall could be the easier solution
