Hi all! I'm having an issue with a stair that has a wall on its boundary that is cropped with the stair as the operator with upward extrusion. I would like for the line appearing at the end of the first flight at the bottom of the landing to be gone. This is not the first time this has happened and I would like to know if there is a fix to this problem.

Is that middle landing a separate slab? Its likely this could be an interaction between the 3 elements. Just for testing purposes move that middle slab up so that its no longer touching wall or stair to see if the line goes away. If it does, then its definitely an issue between the 3 intersections. If thats the case; try splitting the wall so that it stops when the stair element stops, and then you do SEO with left segment of wall and Stair, and a second SEO with right segment of wall and slab.

Does the side of the Stair and the side of the Wall have the same Surface and are they in the same vertical plane? Because if they do, Archicad will not display the lines where the meet.

The little "hack" you can try is to move the Wall a tiny amount (like 0.1 mm) so it is a tiny bit more under the Stair. In that case, the side of the Stair and the side of the Wall will no longer be in exactly the same vertical plane and the boundary line is displayed. The amount should be tiny, and then it will not affect your dimensions or the values displayed in the Tracker.

I have another way, which may be cleaner and you do not have to resort to inaccurate modeling.

Go to an Elevation View where you see that side of the Stair and Wall. Do not do an SEO on the Wall, Instead, use the Opening tool with the Polygonal method to cut the unneeded portion of the Wall out of the Wall. The lines will properly display because they are the edges of the Opening.

In Ac29, you can place the Opening in the elevation (new feature), in previous versions, you will need to do it in 3D.

They are not wanting that line. The issue is that there is a small part that is showing. Odd that is only a short section of one part though...

I am seeing the same thing.

It seems to be affected by the connection between the flight and the landing.

So if you are not worried about how they are connected, you can play with the settings.
