So - If we use a white background- the profiled objects will become transparent and you will be able to see what is below/Under the Object?

No. The object would just blend into the background making it harder to see.

Since the Profiler is pretty much a closed black box, the only alternative is to select the objects and change their background color after they are placed.

BACKGROUND COLOR FOR PROFILER TOOL

<T>I use a black background for my drawings, so I'm constantly having to remember to change the background color of objects from "91" White (default) to "0" Transparent. Otherwise I can't see what's above or below the objects in 2D. My problem is with the Profiler Tool. Every time I extrude a Tubular Object, it displays solid white in 2D. A Revolved Object, on the other hand, is transparent by default. When there are a lot of Profiles, (exterior trim, fascia, crown, etc.) on the floor plan, it's very difficult to distinguish one from another, and impossible to define the boundaries of objects above or below the white Profiles. I have asked my local ArchiCAD rep, but I guess they don't know of a solution. I use ArchiCAD 9.
Does anyone have any suggestions. I would be very grateful.</T>
