There's an invisible node in the center of the door/window, along the wall, on one side or the other. Hard to tell which side. Actually, it's on the right hand side of the wall facing the walls 'direction', which is only apparent if you flip the ref line switch. I just feel around for the node.

<T>What's the easy way to do this. I want to dimension to the centerline of the window, and not the centerline of the marker, which may or may not be the CL of the door window. I can dimension to the edge of the opening easily, but not the centerline. share the secret!

Thanks.</T>

PS.
This is in reference to dimensions placed manually, not the automatic dimensioning.

I've been feeling around for it. Can't find it half the time. Seem like it should snap to the node or something. Takes too long to find it, even using both hands.

Zoom out a bit. Then try.

Tom:

Unfortunately, there is nothing to see. Zooming out lets the cursor test a wider area, as the cursor reacts to a user determined range of pixels.
Just an aside.

On a Saturday morning in mid-summer, a bunch of guys are sitting at computers trying to locate invisible stuff that they are certain is there. Like five hundred years ago, if there was an internet, we'd be talking about ways to turn lead into gold.

But I remember the visceral excitement at having the cursor pop to the checkmark symbol when I got the invisible window node for the first time. Hoo, baby!
