Learning curve from other software

Our company is presently interviewing potential staff, one of whom has used Revit, and I was just wondering if anyone who has Revit experience can advise how difficult (or not) is the transition from Revit to ArchiCAD? I have no experience of Revit, so am not aware of the differences in operation of the two, although they do similar things in the end don't they?
Obviously, ArchiCAD training will be provided, and that should get anyone going in the right direction no matter what their background, but I'm just curious as to the possible learning curve.

we've just had a revit-trained student here for a couple of months - what i found was an understanding of the building model concept was more important than knowing the operational differences between the softwares - because they knew what was supposed to happen, they were able to ask the right questions to help themselves achieve it . . .

Thanks ~/a, figured as much. With the right training and guidance anyone should be able to make the transition I suppose. The modelled building concept is the key.

they have been already . . . just not until the 50th minute. they put the foot down a bit sooner this time is all . . .
