3D vs 2D Which Tools or Procedure are better in 3D vs 2D?

Hi,
Would like to see a list of Tools or Procedure better done in 3D vs 2D or 2D vs 3D. I think this list will improve every ones work flow.
Like:
After selecting elements in Floor Plan for several years I noticed selecting elements in 3D is a lot faster. But have not been able to do a wall better in 3D.
Any thoughts will be appreciated.

How about lines in 3D (3D polylines)?

I need them while constructing complex geometry. For example complex trusses structures, etc.
1) I draw projections of axises on plan, s/e as 2d first.
2) Then export 2d projections in to AutoCAD.
3) Draw 3D polyline axises.
4) open dwg as lib part in AC.
5) copy/past coordinates into truss object for further modifications.

Too hard!

Another alternative is GDL_Toolbox. But it works to slow!

Oops, my post is asking about EXISTING TOOLS USAGE, in which environment (2D or 3D) is better served?

Should I chang the Subject line?
