You can input the coordinates for the cutting plane. Just type x,y, or z and input your values when in appropriate view window.

<T>Since switching to 9 I've noticed that the Cutting Planes window zooms to the extent of the entire model, rather than to the extent of what's currently displayed in the 3D window. What am I missing? Didn't the 3D cutting planes window previously zoom to extent of 3D window only?

I'm trying to clip away the top and bottom of marqueed 3D views, but the rendered portion of the model - that portion captured within the marquee - is too tiny relative to the rest of the model for me to set a cutting plane quickly by eye.</T>
