The option box in the Photorendering box DOES work, but only with ArchiCAD's original rendering engine. dang.

So there's your alpha channel restored AND controllable, not that you'd ever NOT use the alpha channel feature....

BTW: Never render against a background - alway paste it in later...

<T>How can I save a picture that I have rendered in AC 81. with Alpha channel transparency mask?

I've done it in AC 6 but in doesn't work the same way in 8.1!?</T>

IT seems that function is gone - you'll need to "Bluescreen" the background to mask it out, later.

I have a nasty magenta that I use - a color not found in nature. Saw it as a hair coloring once.

In Archi 9 there is a "Use Alpha Channel for transparency" switch in the rendering settings dialog. This could be a hint. I'll check it out later.

Thanks, Dwight!

There is the "Use Alpha Channel for transparency" Button in AC 8.1 too, but it isn't working.

I used to render against a nasty-coloured-backgroung before I discovered Alpha-channel
When cleared in Photoshop I ended up with a glowing contour of the building. Great for renderings for "The Master of the Rings" movie.

Thaks God (and Discreet) we don't have this problem in MAX.
