This might be a stupid question, but I have only recently started working in AC9. When I go to the Display menu, there is no unlink button, to unlink a section. How can I find it??</R>

hello

Whilst not saying that its not done or there's no place for it, but I find that I now rarely unlink my sections.

Back when there were less tools & we only had Pentium 1's with 128mb ram (if we were lucky), then it made more sense to unlink sections for speed purposes. This does not mean that everything on sections has to be in 3d.

cheers

Solid Element Operations can be a major aid in the quest to maintain live building sections and elevations. As Haneef says back when the ability to display fills as bitmaps was essential to preserve the stability of the machine you were working on there was no choice but to have lines and fills and hope for the best.

I'm proud to say that with 30 users on Archicad for 3 years, we have zero unlinked sections in production projects.
