The Jump to preferred position option is working fine for me, although it does (as it says) jump there as opposed to just appearing there. At present however I always choose the Follow cursor option since it makes selecting a pet palette button much faster. Now if there were a key to cycle through the pet palette I think I too would prefer to park it in the corner.

I'd also like to see GS get off their butt with regard to preferences not being saved. We've had how many AC 8 updates now and still lots of window and palette positions and some preferences, including the pet palette position, are reset with every quit. What's with that?

<T>Is there a way to lock the pet palette's postion on my screen? It looks like the two options are to have there return to the last used postion and follow the cursor. I'd like to position the pet palette in a corner of my screen and lock it there.
Thanks,
Last used is what you need. Set it, place the pet palette wher you want it, and that's it.

Djorde,
For some reason that isn't the way it's working on my computer. I put it in the corner, then use the palette. Next time I use a tool with a pet palette the palette is near the cursor. It's a bother but not the end of the world.
It sounds like my set up isn't working as it it is intended. I'm about to install ArchiCAD on my new computer. If it is still working this way after the clean install I'll send the issue to Graphisoft as a possible bug.
Thanks,
in the preferences there is an option to 'follow cursor' or stay in your favourite position. have you tried it, and if so are you saying that this isn't working?
Ha!

Set it in preferences, start using a tool with a palette, THEN move it where you want. Next time it will be there.
