Okay. falling thru cracks - I am only half joking.

The video card and the screen try to render a line thinner than one pixel as scaled on screen.

How?

At some point the line disappears and at the threshold of disappearance, weird things can happen. But horizontal lines instead of vertical is a pretty good weirdness!!

<T>Using AC 11, but in Elevation Window with 3D hatching on: 'metal deck' hatching of roof that supposed to displayed as vertical is instead displayed as horizontal.
There is no problem previously with AC 8's Section Tool.
3D hatching displayed correctly in 3D Window though.
Is there some special button I missed in Elevation Tool of AC 11??
Thanks.</T>

There's no magic button, but this would be easier to solve if you uploaded an image of the problem, showing both the 3D window and elevation window.

It may be that you have your roof set to either a cover fill or surface material fill.

Cheers,
Thanks. I found out it is actually a display problem. Vertical lines do appear as intended when zoomed in 240%+. However, when drawing placed in Layout Book, the vertical hatching disappeared! unless zoomed in again. Print is OK. Hope this bug fixed later.

Sometimes, vertical lines are simply too fine to see on screen at certain zooms.
You reduce this problem by having a bigger display with higher resolution, but it, too, will have bad scales where an entire line falls between the cracks of the screen pixels.

Wow! Line drop in a crack of pixel... that's nano, man. Thanks for letting me know something interesting
