topic Does Navigator Preview burden graphics speed? in Modeling

<T>Does Navigator Preview window add a burden graphics speed? I've always run ArchiCAd with the Navigator Preview off. In Adobe's InDesign the preview window can really slow down graphics performance. I am wondering if ArchiCAD's Navigator Preview slows down the program's performance.
Thanks,
Since navigator preview increases the size of a file when it is saved (Preferences/2d redraw options) and makes my file slower I believe that it does affect the speed of AC. I am not 100% sure about it but I usually turn it off just to be sure...
It may slow it down but you have to regenerate the image which appears in the window to get a current view which makes me think its just a "snapshot".

Oh and...."2d redraw" off does decrease file size but I think its relative to auto redraw whereas the preview window is a commanded redraw.
