TeamWork won't let me sign in.

I'm trying to sign into a teamwork project but I get a message telling me one of the other teammates are trying to log in.... since yesterday and no-one can log in until he's in.
My teamwork backup is non existent (very wierd because all other teamwork saves have plp backups), and I've searched our server.
We've got a backup drive so we didn't lose too much work but it is a nuisance, how can I stop this from happening in the future and is there any way I can can get the file to open in teamwork without turning it into a solo project.

look in the folder where the teamwork file is located. There will be a lock file in there. Im not running a teamwork file at the moment so I cant remeber what it is called exactly (something like ***.lck) - This file dissapears once a teammate has signed in, but if a file crashes during a login the file lingers and you need to delete it manually.
