<T>if you have a wall that is 45 degrees to a stair case, can the stairs be trimmed to fit the wall evenly? if not, is there a way to draw the stairs around the turn without penetrating the wall?

by the way, how do you post a picture? to go along with a post.</T>

If you are creating your own custom stair, you sure can.

Simply click on the corner of the stair and the Corner Settings dialog appears. You can fillet or chamfer (45 degrees only AFAIK).

To add an attachment to a post simply hit the Browse button next to Filename, under the message body. The image has to meet the requirements at <LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/att ... es.php?f=2">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/attach_rules.php?f=2</LINK_TEXT>.

Cheers,
If you want just the current dialog hit alt+prtsc.
No worries mate. IMHO the mac offers better screen capturing.

In addition to what Marc said, you can capture a window pressing Apple+Shift+4 then press the spacebar and the cursor turns into a camera icon. You can then move the camera cursor over the window you want to capture (it becomes highlighted), click the mouse anywhere on the window and take the screenshot.

And if you hold down the ctrl key while capturing any screenshot on a mac, the image is sent to the clipboard and is not saved as a PDF.

Back to PC, SnagIt is a good screen capturing program that also allows embellishing without the need for additional graphics software. Costs about US$40 though:
Exactly like mine 1984-1989

Since then, I "only" work full time ... and am still half asleep most of the time <E>😉</E>
