Yes - or make the mesh reference plane at -2.0m and set every point above that.

Cheers,

<T>i want to make a side walk that has a a difference between one part and another of 1.5 meter [level].
so i made it with mesh, i hope it right.
the problem that when i render it doesn't show the thickness of the mesh.
it appears only as if it's a surface of 1cm.
any clue where i'm going wrong?</T>

hi, there are three different modelling options for the mesh
- only top surfaces (I think this one is active in your case)
- top and side surface
- completely filled model (this one will be the best for your model)
(see picture)

perhaps you have used a transparent material for the sides and the bottom surface?

but maybe I don'T understand your problem, it cold help, if you attatch a small screenshot with comments

check this, the asphalt and the side walk both of them are mesh with 1 meter depth but you still can see the hole between them!!

Hi Emad

It depends on how you adjusted the heights of you mesh. Please see the attachment. If you elevated your Z height below the Mesh Reference Plane, then the thickness (1000mm in your case) will disappear.

You should model your meshes with a reference plane that is at a lower elevation than all the points in the mesh.

Hope that helps and please say hi to Maged Ibrahim for me!

Cheers,
YOU MEAN THAT MY MESH LEVEL HAS TO BE ON THE LOWEST LEVEL.
WHICH MEANS IF THE LOWEST LEVEL ON THE MESH IS -1.5METER AS AN EXAMPLE SO THE MESH LEVEL SHOULD BE THIS THEN I ADD MY POINT ACCORDING TO THE ZERO LEVEL.
RIGHT?
