Scrat wrote:
Is it possible to color wall as in picture?

depends on how you're thinking of doing it:

if you are talking about assigning a gradient fill to a material and having it automatically show on the wall (or whatever element is using that material) then no.

if you are talking simply about colouring the wall in a section or elevation window then yes - simply use the gradient fill and draw it in over the top of the model - note that it won't update should the wall change though . . .

If you want a gradient wall in a RENDERING, you could make a material that used a large graduated color image and anchor it to one corner of the wall using the align texture tool.

You might also simply use the PICTURE object, placing it against the wall and sizing it to match, using the graduated color image as if it were a picture.

As a general rule, JPEG is the worst possible file format to use because JPEG files contain artifacts that are emphasized in rendering, especially when you are trying to create a smooth gradient with a gigantic file.

Anything but JPEG.
PNG is still compressed but better.
TIFF is a professional pre-press format that holds more information than Archicad can use. It can also support an alpha channel if you like to use them.

@Scrat.
First make gradient fill in elevation, and copy it and save as TIFF.
You can use this for your material in rendering, also for Open GL.

You don't - you need to make the original the correct size, then that should be reflected when it is imported in the Material dialog. Otherwise you can override the size there (not that I'd recommend it). Either way, be sure to check the Keep Original Proportions.
The easiest way to stretch any image to a full wall is to use Archicad's Material Dialog for the Internal Engine where the exact dimensions can be entered for any image regardless of proportion.

Measure the wall, change the material tile size to match.

Disproportionate stretching CAN lead to chromatic pixelation, however.
