Toolbox pallette shape won't stick

When configured as a double column it will revert to a single column when re-opened and the plan window shifts over to meet it. All other pallettes seem to stick. Anyone else have this problem?

I've experienced related problems with the floating palettes not remembering the user settings between AC sessions.

After setting the palette shape are you closing AC from the pull-down menu or are you clicking the "X" button? Be sure to exit from AC via pull-down.

Also, be sure that while you are setting the user preferences that you have only one (1) copy of AC/PM open.

I always quit programs with the keyboard shortcut or by just shutting down and letting the OS close them out (Mac). I just tried quitting via pull-down, and, you're right--it did stick. Then I quit via keyboard and it stuck. Maybe quitting the first time via pull-down does it?? OK, I guess, as long as I don't have to touch my nose and sing nursery rhymes while turning in circles.
