I cannot say that I've ever seen or heard of this one before.

Is there any possibility that since they are grouped that he is accidentally setting them back to 0?

What version & release of Archicad?

<T>My partner has been having a problem whereby each time he opens his Archicad file, all the roofs revert to a "plumb cut" style even though he has specified differently. He is using different edge styles for different roofs. Each time he has to change certain ones back to the desired style and has grouped them accordingly so that its not a big deal. It is annoying, however, and I'm curious if there is some global setting that I'm not aware of that controls this. I have never had this problem on my computer. Anyone seen this before?</T>

We use Archicad 8.1.0 R2. I don't think the fact that they're grouped has anything to do with it because he didn't group them until after he realized they kept changing back to plumb-cut when he'd start working the next day. I should check to see if this happens in all of his files. It always bugs me when stuff like this happens and I don't know why.

It happens to me on V8 too. Everytime i trim the edges of the roof pieces together (using CTRL & SHIFT), some of the edges at the lower point of the roof piece changes.

Its not so bad as I have roof+gutter objects circling around, but it does show up in the sections. Amending it for me is a one-off step, so long as I stop using the CTRL & SHIFT command to make further changes to the roof.
