<T>Is there a way to insert and connect the drainage pipes shown in the attachement, using only the ArchiCAD 3D window? And if so, where do I find a tutorial illustrating the techniques required? Or is it possible to explain the technique clearly, on this forum, in the fashion of "3D for Dummies"?</T>

It would seem that each piece has to be alighed from its base and then elevated a set distance. The pipes - being 'smart' are trained to add flanges as you add length and some of them also can slope. I only had luck by aligning them at their bottoms and then hoisting them up. Without more nodes a working section would appear to be required for verification and adjustment.
