topic Roof Wizard in Modeling

<T>I have been unable to use the roof wizard for quite some time now (since 8.0r2) I keep getting the error that the library object "Rafter" cannot be found in the loaded libraries. I've reinstalled libraries, AC etc. many time with the same result. Is anyone using this successfully on 8+?. I can find a rafter in the Building Structures/Roof construction folder of the library is this the object the wizard is looking for?

TIA</T>

It seems to be working for me. AC 8.1 US

Are you using the .PLA format or exploded folder structure for your Libraries? Which version and language of AC are you using?

If you are referring to the RoofMaker "Roof Wizard" - The required library parts are in the "RoofMaker Library 81" in the ADD-ON Library.

US 8.1 (1410), Mac OS X.3, English, pla library. I've re-installed the libraries and software a number of times and the only objects in the add-ons library are surfacing objects. The add-ons folder in the AC folder contains the RoofMaker and it's available through the extras menu. With the object tool I can library parts in the 1.4 Building Structures/Roof Constrcution folder, Items like Rafter, Post, etc. but cannot use them with the Roof Wizard

Thanks

The Roof Wizard in ArchiCAD 8.1 will use the RoofMaker Library 8.1. The Wizard does NOT use the Object Library_81/06 Wood-Plastic 81/ Roof Construction_81 library.
The name of the Library part Roof Wizard will place is Rafter2_1.
Please check if this object is present in the RoofMaker Library.
Maybe you should also check in Add-On manager whether the correct Add-On version is loaded.
