What is causing this?

UPDATE: Sorry, never mind. I deleted the Profiler.apx from the Extras folder leaving Profiler in the Cadimage folder of Add-on Goodies. At least that allows the installation to complete without error message. Hoping Profiler still works.

Before installing, do we need to copy/save work environments. Will the new update overwrite/wipeout work environments.

It seems to have installed fine on my machine -- does not seem to have affected my WE's (although keeping a current copy is a good idea regardless) -- LJY

I typically Export our WE's to our "BIM Drive" for safe keeping -- LJY.

Custom WE's are stored by default in username/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft folder on Macs and in Documents & Settings/username/Graphisoft on Windows.

Ditto. You have to remove the Cadimage stuff from the add-ons for the update to work. replacing it after the update seems to result in it working.

it's just a badly behaved installer finding two add-ons with the same name and not knowing what to do. a typical graphiosft upgrade mess: first we were told the new goodies were to be downloaded separately, then we had to upgrade them separately, now we find the installer does upgrade them anyway. kind of. and only on it's terms and when there isn't anything else in the way.

one day we might get a smooth, professionally delivered upgrade. and i'll be shooting for bacon.
