<T>How do you create a custom section marker? I don't like the existing symbols. ideally i would like to create my own but still maintain the section options, such as drawing name and sheet names. Or at least manipulate the look of the given section marker. I know that there is a way to load a section marker but i don't know where to download them from.</T>

How are you with GDL? Doing so will require a fair amount of scripting.

Section markers are one of the hardest object types I've ever made since the examples are not exactly easy to learn from. I feel like Matthew figured out an easier way once... maybe he can add more.

Do you have a screen shot of what you want them to look like?

I would try to modify an existing marker that is close into what you want, but it won't be easy.

The thing I do is uncheck the options in the Section Line that enable it to actually appear and then draw my own section lines and copy it wherever i need it. I know, the supplied section lines are quite horrid

What don't you like about the lines?
If you just want to modify one of the existing markers, just draw a section line, then use the open object command from the file menu (command-option-O for OSX, something close to that for Win). I know very little about GDL, but I was able to replace the graphics of the NCS10 marker with some I just drew in AC then saved as an object, then adjusted the text location but preserved all the autoreferencing from the original object - I think that is the hardest part so just re-use what GS has already done for us.

I also want to costumize the SECTION SIGN.

I can minimize the size of the built in l sign, and I can overwrite the sign by lines saved from florplan window.

Hiere I was not able to go forward.

The base part of the GDL of the section sign call a macro

      call "Section-Elevation Marker Macro" parameters all A = A,

what I can not find.

Other qeustion:

Is it possible to use two different apperance at the both end of the sign?

Or three ones regarding to the middle position?

Is sombody have his/her own sign to share it mee?

You might be able to use the SYMB_MIRRORED global to draw a second symbol. By default it is just used to rotate text and change the text anchor, but it could probably be used to feed a completely different symbol to the Section / Elevation Tool for when double ended markers are enabled.

In the USA Library, there is the Section Part Marker_NCS which has different symbols at each end of the line. Look through your available section markers and see if you have something similar to look at to see how it is done.
